We're Working to Keep Leavenworth Safe.

Keeping our students, faculty and staff safe is a top priority. To help ensure this safety, background screens for volunteers are a necessity. You need a background check on file with the school to visit your student in class, volunteer, attend certain events, field trips & more!

Background checks take time (weeks!!) Don't get left out.

Forms for volunteering on campus are available from the front office.

Commonly Asked Questions About Volunteering

How can I sign up to volunteer at the school?

You can sign up by contacting the school's main office and speaking with the office manager. You will need to fill out the above form & return to school. FUSD will contact you to get fingerprinted & cleared for volunteering at school. For PTO sponsored event's see above Sign Up Geniuses!

What type of volunteer opportunities are available?

We have a variety of opportunities, including helping with events, classroom support, fundraising activities, field trip chaperoning, and more.

How much time is required to volunteer?

We appreciate any amount of time you can give.

Do I need any special skills or experience to volunteer?

No special skills are required. We welcome all parents and guardians to contribute in any way they can.

Can I bring my child with me when I volunteer?

This depends on the event or activity. Some volunteer roles are suitable for bringing children, while others may not be. Please check with the event coordinator or the school.

What are the benefits of volunteering with the PTO?

Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents, support your child’s school, and make a positive impact on the school community.

Can grandparents or other family members volunteer?

Yes, we welcome all family members who want to support the school and the PTO.
